It's that time of year again with all the Frontier Days stuff. I have have always loved this time of year with all the excitement. One of my Favorite parts of FD is the Denver Post train. The steam crew has been putting this one for many years. One of there steam locomotive and many cars go to Denver to get the rodeo fans and bring then back for the Cheyenne Frontier Days. This morning the locomotive left Cheyenne at around 9:30 and was bound for Denver. Tomorrow the locomotive will we on display all day. And on Saturday it goes back to Cheyenne and then back to Denver in the same day. Finally on Sunday the locomotive travels back home to Cheyenne and does not have more trips until next year. This year the steam crew took Union Pacific 844 and there diesel 6936 and there train was 21 car long! This morning we watched it get ready to leave and then headed down to the First RR crossing. We then chased it from there to second crossing before it split off to head to Denver. Enjoy the pictures and videos. For more info go to
