Cheyenne WY and Wasatch RR Contractors Depot Days

On 17-19 WRRC and the town of Cheyenne had a depot days. WRRC hosted it at they shop. It was a big susses and very fun. We were able to set up curved track around the whole parking lot close to 350 feet. I was not able to have my camera on Friday and Saturday but i remembered on the way out the door on Sunday. Here are some fun pictures from Sunday. This is a weekend I will never forget.
Here's the train chugging up hill.
This is a original 1911 Cagney. WRRC just finished with its nice shades of blue.
Its about 8:15 just about ready for fire up. From my old post with the locomotive with no jacket we ran it on Friday and Saturday with a jacket and ran like a dream but at the last minute it broke down so we had to put the number 2 on the track and use her for pulling people around.
WRRC built these nice crossings and railroad crossings for the depot days.
Here I am again gaining speed for the big up hill coming.
For they depot days the trolley and buses stopped by a model train show, the UP steam shop, and then to WRRC.

Be watching out for the WRRC ribbon cutting!

New Cagney

On Saturday May 4, 2013 we ran my dads first scratch built live steam Cagney locomotive we ran it on Colorado coal and fired up nicely. It also ran on Friday May 3, and did well. There are just a few touch ups to be down and then to get a jacket and to be painted. This is my most favorite thing to do on weekends like this. For more of this kind of stuff go to www.wrrc.us.

We found these two finds one day while railfanning over Christmas Break we found a SD40-2 on a main line train very rare {top}  {below} be found an unpatched SP locomotive

Getting Started

This blog is mostly going to be about me and my life and trains. Such as Model trains, Ralifanning and miniature locomotives.

Here's a little stuff I have done over the years. Enjoy
This is what my dad builds, this little 15 inch gauge locomotive is based in Atlanta Georgia.
